Armed and Ready [Video//Offline]

[Alex was sitting on her rooftop, her yellow scarf only visible rather thickly packed around her neck, as the rest of it is tucked into her coat. It just might get in the way if she has to get down and dirty with the snowballs. She had been waiting patiently, silently... and eventually she got bored.

So now you might see Alex wandering the streets of Adstringendum, tossing a snowball up and catching it in her gloved hands. She's trying to stay observant, but hey. This is Alex we're dealing with. Anyway, she still looks pretty upbeat.]

Now this is my kind of event!

[Is hit with the flying snowball, and turns to see her assailant.]

Oh. Playing dirty, huh?
[For now, she decides to do things the old fashioned way, chucking the snowball in her hands.]

[He turns aside, but it hits him.] Nah, if I was playing dirty, I'd be using magic.

That's true, isn't it?
[She grins, taking her wand out from her boot.]

[Harry grins, takes out his own wand, and uses it to launch a few snowballs at her].

[Alex swishes the snowballs away with her free hand, grinning back just as widely. She's had a projectile fight with a wizard before, and the only thing better than wizard vs. human would be wizard vs. wizard.]

[Now this is how a wizard vs. wizard snowball fight ought to go. Not with them really, you know, getting pissed off at each other because they hate each other.

He flicks his wand at the snowballs Alex has just swished away.]

Oppungo!

[The spell hits a couple of the snowballs and they change direction in mid-air and fly back to attack Alex.]

[In trying to avoid being hit, Alex trips. But she's not distraught by it at all. Instead, she's very interested in that spell.]

[Ever the Gryffindor ~~when Malfoy isn't involved~~, Harry doesn't throw any at her when she trips.]

Are you all right?

Yeah, I'm fine.

[She remains seated for a bit.]
What spell was that?

That? It's an attack spell.

So, it can make something... attack something else?
That's pretty cool!

[She stands, dusting snow off of her backside.]
So, wanna teach me?

Sure. [He makes a couple snowballs and sets them on a nearby fence. He shows her the wand movement slowly.] And the word is oppungo. [He aims the spell at one of the snowballs and it flies off and smashes against a tree.]

[Alex watches him, slowly mimicking his movements as he demonstrates. Picking a snowball to target, she tries the spell.]

Oppungo!

[The snowball launches itself from the fence, but it doesn't quite manage to reach the tree.]

Yeah, it takes a bit to master, but that's a good start.

[She gives him a grateful smile as she tries it once more. The second snowball hits the tree, but at a lower mark than Harry's.]

Thanks for the advice.

Not at all.

[She gives him another smile, trying one more time on the last snowball.]

Oppungo!

[This time, she aims it for Harry.]

[And Harry is hit with it! Sneaky Alex! ~~Seriously, Harry, you didn't see that coming?~~]

Oy, you! Is that anyway to thank me? [He's laughing, so I guess yes?]

[She's chuckling, profoundly amused!]

Hey, imitation is the best form of flattery, isn't it?

Yeah, that's what they say.
