[Thanks to the rain, Alex has been laying low at home today. Rain was bittersweet nowadays. Every once in a while, she caught herself thinking about Mason when it rained. After all, standing in the rain on Waverly Place was the first time she'd shared a kiss with her werewolf boyfriend.

[Thanks to her PCD, she can be seen sitting in the windowsill of her room, pointing her wand outside. She's filling invisible magic bubbles with rain water and letting them drop. Onto the pavement, onto small creatures, and perhaps onto you! One of her favorite things to do with Mason was throw water balloons at unsuspecting victims who happened to be wandering down Waverly Place. Oh, what fun!]

Hnhnheheheh! That was a good one.

[Hermione had honestly never seen a spell like that in her life. There were spells that could make inanimate objects fly, but not to make them come to life like that. So she stares, sort of in shock, when the bear starts talking.]

[Alex smiles at Hermione's reaction, and turns her attention back to the bear.]

Well, it's been real, Ted. I'm gonna have to send you back now.

[In spite of the little bear's protest, Ale swishes her wand again.]

[Hey, it's not everyday you can impress Hermione Granger with magic she's never learned, or even heard of.]

... That is a fascinating spell. Where did you learn it?

My dad taught me.
To be honest, I didn't really learn that much at Whiz Tech.

[She nods]

That's good that you had your father to teach you, at least. My parents are Muggles.

What are Muggles?

People who don't have magical abilities. ... Do you not have that term where you come from?

We just call 'em humans. But my mom is one, I guess. And... so is my dad, technically.

I think I prefer that, actually.

Plus, it's a distinction that doesn't need to be made most of the time, really.

[That reminds Hermione of how much she misses her own friends.]

... What is your friend like?

She was... more than a little eccentric. Magic kind of freaked her out. Especially me with magic. She seemed fine with my brother Justin having magic. Then again, she had this massive crush on Justin.

Ugh.

That has to be frustrating.

[Ignore that small amused smile.]

Oh, it's not. Especially when I get to hang it over Justin's head... Hnhnheheh!
[That laugh is somewhat diabolical.]

What are your friends like? Or Siblings? Or... both...

I don't have any siblings. But Harry and Ron... they're my best friends. They can be such idiots sometimes... boys, honestly. I wouldn't trade them for anything, though.

[Sigh] I miss them.

Ah. Boys can be pretty stupid.
But I know what you mean about never trading them in.

They can be. You should've seen them last year.

Oh, they got into this stupid fight, and they wouldn't speak to each other for weeks. And made me be the messenger to go back and forth between them.
