Keeping Occupied [Video/Offline]

[Thanks to the rain, Alex has been laying low at home today. Rain was bittersweet nowadays. Every once in a while, she caught herself thinking about Mason when it rained. After all, standing in the rain on Waverly Place was the first time she'd shared a kiss with her werewolf boyfriend.

[Thanks to her PCD, she can be seen sitting in the windowsill of her room, pointing her wand outside. She's filling invisible magic bubbles with rain water and letting them drop. Onto the pavement, onto small creatures, and perhaps onto you! One of her favorite things to do with Mason was throw water balloons at unsuspecting victims who happened to be wandering down Waverly Place. Oh, what fun!]

Hnhnheheheh! That was a good one.

[Have yo been hit with a water bubble? Feel free to yell at this young whipper snapper.]

It was such a relief to be big again!

I can imagine. Probably as much of a relief as finally losing all of the fur.

I know, right? Fur balls for weeks... That has to get old.

[Scoff.]

I didn't have fur balls.

Ah, there's the silver lining.
I had them and I was a cat for five minutes.

I suppose maybe it's because you had completely transformed. I was only... about half cat. Or less than half.

[Alex grins.]

Do you know any spells that bring inanimate objects to life?

... I don't believe I do.

[She looks around the room for something that might vaguely be reminiscent of a human form.]

[Hermione simply watches the girl curiously, waiting to see what happens next. Wherever this girl came from, they had some interesting spells. This was proving to be quite an educational experience after all, one of the only ones she'd had since arriving here.]

[Alex spots a small plush in the room, and makes it her focus. With a grin, she approaches the soft toy.]

Murietta Animada.

[She watches as the toy begins to move, and she has to admit, that was fairly impressive.]

[The little bear stands up, brushing off his fur.] "Hey, I can move!" [it says, looking up at the two wizards.] "Thanks a lot, ladies! It was getting kind of boring sitting in that corner!"

Aw, don't worry about it, Ted.

[Alex turns to Hermione.]
Well?

[Hermione had honestly never seen a spell like that in her life. There were spells that could make inanimate objects fly, but not to make them come to life like that. So she stares, sort of in shock, when the bear starts talking.]

[Alex smiles at Hermione's reaction, and turns her attention back to the bear.]

Well, it's been real, Ted. I'm gonna have to send you back now.

[In spite of the little bear's protest, Ale swishes her wand again.]

Garibay Immobilitay.

[Hey, it's not everyday you can impress Hermione Granger with magic she's never learned, or even heard of.]

... That is a fascinating spell. Where did you learn it?

My dad taught me.
To be honest, I didn't really learn that much at Whiz Tech.

[She nods]

That's good that you had your father to teach you, at least. My parents are Muggles.

What are Muggles?

People who don't have magical abilities. ... Do you not have that term where you come from?

We just call 'em humans. But my mom is one, I guess. And... so is my dad, technically.

I think I prefer that, actually.

Yeah, me too.
