Keeping Occupied [Video/Offline]

[Thanks to the rain, Alex has been laying low at home today. Rain was bittersweet nowadays. Every once in a while, she caught herself thinking about Mason when it rained. After all, standing in the rain on Waverly Place was the first time she'd shared a kiss with her werewolf boyfriend.

[Thanks to her PCD, she can be seen sitting in the windowsill of her room, pointing her wand outside. She's filling invisible magic bubbles with rain water and letting them drop. Onto the pavement, onto small creatures, and perhaps onto you! One of her favorite things to do with Mason was throw water balloons at unsuspecting victims who happened to be wandering down Waverly Place. Oh, what fun!]

Hnhnheheheh! That was a good one.

[Have yo been hit with a water bubble? Feel free to yell at this young whipper snapper.]

[Which is said... slightly sarcastically? Just a little.]

And you know why?

[She puts her hands up again, holding the sides of her head with an 'I told you so' look.]

[Hey, that's Hermione's job. But all the same, she'll mimic Alex. On the off chance that what just happened will happen again.]

[She didn't perform the spell again, but she quirked an eyebrow.]

Because he didn't do this.

I see. ... Well, I suppose I'll keep in in mind. For future reference.

Are there any other... similar spells... you know?

Hm. I bet I can think of one or two. Gimme some time to remember them.

All right. I'd be interested to see when you do.

[She has to admit, these are interesting spells. If not a little different from what she's used to. But, hey, any educational opportunity is a good one!]

[... You sure you want to open up that can of worms there, Alex?]

I know quite a variety of spells. I am studying for my OWLs, after all.

Well, what's your favorite spell?

I'm not sure if I have a favorite, per se, but I have always been rather fond of this one.

[She grabs a jar from a nearby shelf, points her wand into it, and says an incantation. In it appears a waterproof, bluebell flame.]

Hey, that's pretty cool!
Is that for seeing in the dark and stuff?

More for keeping warm if you need it. There's another spell that'll allow you to see in the dark.

Ah. Cool.
What's that one?

[She raises her wand. Slightly more... dramatically than she needs to, but hey, she's showing off.]

Lumos!

[Alex smiles. She had a spell like that, but she couldn't quite remember the incantation. This one would probably have to do for now. She lifted her wand, not exactly copying Hermione, but putting her own little twist on the wand swish, and repeats.]

Lumos.

[Hermione smiles as well. She gets a certain amount of pride in successfully imparting her knowledge onto others.]

Excellent.

[Alex grins as the tip of her wand lights up.]

My brother knows a spell like that. But I don't remember the incantation for it.

By the way, he's the one who almost ate the brother who was a sandwich.

[Honestly, that almost sounds like a typical day in the Weasley house.]

How did that happen?

Well, my dad was teaching us how to be careful when making up incantations. That's when Max accidentally turned himself into a PB&J. And, well, Justin was just really hungry.

I ended up changing him back.
